Light Weight EVF?

Weight is personally a huge issue for me. I would like to put in a request for RED to possibly consider producing a EVF that is about half the size it is now. Anyone else have an interest in this idea?

From the renders, it appears as though you'll get your wish with Epic and Scarlet's 1080P "bomb evf" Remember, that when the RED EVF came out (and even today) it's the best non-optical viewfinder out there.

I think its already on their 'to-do' list...
Considering scarlets size...bit weird to shove an EVF on there the size of the current one, they are shrinking certain things down, (dont know for sure) so it could suit the scarlet, at least that seems the most plausible thing...

I wonder if we will be able to change in our EVF for a new smaller one when it arrives. Or maybe it will be cheaper and we will be able to sell our old EVF to cover the cost. Anyways I am sure RED will do what's fair. They have been one the best companies to work with so far.

I agree. I personally only use the viewfinder if I absolutely have to, which is basically never.
