Do you know that you cannot use the word RED in a EBAY sale Title.
If you do the spamming computer police will remove your advert. I have written extensively explaining what RED is about, and volume of sales etc. but they are adament that I /You, are spamming. However; if used as part of a description it will pass ok especially if you say "REduser" as one word for example.
They ignore ARRI AATON etc. when used together they are classed as not spam words.
Anybody able to explain this ruling to us all I am sure we would all be grateful.

Are you sure? I've seen a lot of camera gear on ebay that used "RED" in the title... Perhaps they removed your listing for other reasons?

yup. She is pretty heavy-handed with the spam hammer. She once cancelled one of my auctions for some audio input cables made by Coffee Sound. The cables happen to be the color "red" and I included that in the title.

Now I use phrases like "RED tag special" in the title.

I've listed a couple 18-50 lenses and some small accessories with RED in the title and had no trouble. But that's been a couple months, maybe something has changed?

Hi Jeff, So have I; but I think the Spam watcher is not particularly sensitive but more random.
Anyway I had a long dialogue with them and letters passed and they are firm on the subject hence my post. Sorry if I upset the applecart it was not intentional but I felt it useful to those who post.

Hi Tony,

I wonder if that explains why very few RED cameras end up on Ebay.
