Hi Guys
I´m looking for a good solution for video assist.
Wanna a HD/HDV solution because of extreme focus work.
As anyone used the sony PVW-EX3?
HDSDI in/out, HDMI
Will shoot to the big screen so i will use 24fps.
Any feedback?

I'm not following. Are you attempting to build a video assist/tap for a film camera out of an HDV camera? Or are you attempting to use an HDV camera as a video recording/playback device for the RED? Or something different?

Wanna record RED HD-SDI signal do a VTR just to check focus and talent performance with sync sound
Dont wanna use playback from Red.

A Datavideo HDR100 or AJA Ki Pro will likely be cheaper and more reliable.

Are you trying to build a short-term solution or a more permanent HD playback solution? There are lots of 695 guys on these boards that could probably point you in the right direction.

Are you sure the EX3 has an HD-SDI input? Not got one in front of me right now, but I don't think it does.

Ah… That's the EX30. Your thread title says EX3, which is a camera with no HD-SDI input.
That looks like it might do exactly what you need, although do check one with a signal from a Red. The Red's HD-SDI output is a little outside normal tolerances, and some devices don't like the signal.

Just now i realize i made a mistake on the gear:
it´s of course the Sony VTR PMW-EX30 and not the camera.
Sorry about that.
About the Red signal, i know that the HDSDI that the camera burst may not be the HDSDI that the Sony vtr likes, so i ask the forum is anyone as any complaint or feedback.
