We had a good party a couple of years ago at the Hardrock Cafe Amsterdam, so i just called them up and made a reservation.

Hope this is fine for everbody,
I made a reservation for aprox. 15 people,
please give me a short feedback who´ll attend, so i can
warn them a few days in advance if we will grew a RED ARMY

Would be cool if some RED Guys like to attend !, The chicken wings are fantastic there ;)

They´ll send me a group menue choice, I´ll post that as soon as i get it

polispol, take a look at www.easytobook.com, i made a reservation today for 80 Euros for two nights, it´s a one star hotel, with a shared bathroom, but i dont care for two nights. And if the room´s crap, hey - just a reason to drink more beer ;)
the Hotel I found today is the Kooyk Hotel, just arround the corner from Leidseplein, wich is the district with all the bars and nightclubs.

Elcurado. Was there a screening on Friday last year? I thought it was only on the Saturday, I seem to recall 12.00 pm on Saturday was the timing. Rob Lohman says here (http://www.reduser.net/forum/showpost.php?p=65075&postcount=2) that there are likely to be daily shows in the big theatre.

Thanks for all the feedback, I´ll inform HRC that we will be arround 20 people, i think if we are 2-3 more or less, they won´t mind.
I wish i could also make it on Saturday, unfortunately i got a reasonable priced flight / hotel combo just from Sunday to Tuesday, but i wish all the Saturday folks a lot of fun ;))

Thanks Paul, I guess these meetings will also be a lot about cultural-mingling, that's going to be quite interesting.
I never thought that a camera could one day create such a community around the world. It's good that we finally get together at some point cause I'm sure some amazing projects will be born out of all this.
I remember that some FxGuide people with early reservation numbers wanted to make an "all-around the world" red movie project as soon as they would get their camera. I wonder if this is still up and if some people from FxGuide will attend IBC.

Passes are free up until August 20th. You have full access to the fair. There are a number of seminars which are not free. The pass includes a free public transport pass also (trains excluded).

The problem during IBC is finding a place to stay, let alone a place at a reasonable price. If you haven't reserved well in advance it can be a real problem. IBC attracts VERY many people to Amsterdam, which attracts many people any day of the year. So particularly during IBC week-end everything is booked.
