Just stumbled upon THIS. (http://dvcity.com/dve/index.php?cPath=80)
Unless I am missing something it seems that the same people who made all the boot leg, chrosziel, redrock, and letus parts are now making one off Red parts.
Just a heads up...

Here are some more boot leg parts:
Side mount (http://dvcity.com/dve/product_info.php?products_id=275)
Universal mount (http://dvcity.com/dve/product_info.php?products_id=293)
15mm
adapter (http://dvcity.com/dve/product_info.php?products_id=270)
I mean, how hard is it to make it your own design instead of an exact design copy?

Some of the stuff elsewhere on the site look just like Zacuto gear.

A site without listing their physical address? No phone number? Incredibly cheap prices?
A couple of bright, bright warning lights should go off.

I bought the steadicam from them.
not really good but usable.
on the other hand I bought lens gears, I paid 50 USD for 5 instead 60 for 3, and they were worth it...

I saw a Chinese company's booth at NAB that was an exact copy of a Technocrane for around maybe $18-25K or so. A fraction of the real gear's pricing. Well exact until you got close enough to see the cruddy sub-IKEA construction and utter flimsiness of it. Does anybody really buy that stuff?

If they're going to copy a baseplate, you'd think they'd have the sense to copy they ET one. How many red baseplates are gathering dust?
