Hi everyone,
I'm looking for 3, 4, or 5 RED owners-to-be on the east coast to set up a network of backup equipment.
Once the cost of your production passes just a few thousand dollar/day, the idea that new-fangled camera equipment could malfunction and cost you $ is enough to make producers pause.
I figure if we have a well organized backup network we can charge most of our clients a premium for that insurance. If a RED One goes down, or a digital mag gets corrupted, we could call our backup and be back shooting in 1-3 hours.
The numbers in my head are $200/day for the insurance, with some agreed upon day rate for our emergency RED delivery and use.
Send me an email if your interested.
