Which is better to buy ? Polariser Linear or Polariser Circular ? What the different ?

I'm trying to get Polariser Drop In 138mm size to use on Red Cam for 35mm Film Camera eg. 435es .

Any of your thoughts will be helpful..

If you know it will go on film cameras with video taps - get the circular pola. Linear messes with taps from time to time.

What Steve said, AND linear sometimes messes with auto focus DSLR's as well. It is worth the extra money for circular.

On a related note, has anyone experienced linear polas doing anything weird on Reds? It seems that they might but I have heard no reports.
