A small short film for the DVXUser fest. I cant post some of the shots until the movie gets displayed, but thought some might find these interesting, all shot on my new RPPs. The "grade" was just a quickie in RedAlert.

Looks great Shawn- these all look like very low light shots- but are very lush looking. Really great examples of what the RPPs can do.
Looking forward to watching it.

This looks badass Shawn, can't wait to see it. Looks like a bit of a departure from the other films that you have done in the past.

I don't know if its just my crappy imac, but the very bottom picture looks like it has some TERRIBLE banding in the shadows. Was that intended or again is it just my crappy monitor?

wow, Shawn some of those shots look awesome. I especially like the 5th and the last frames.

There is nothing better than deliberate practice. =] It's all I am currently doing but with much less awesome gear that the R1. ;)

Can't wait to see it bud.

Shawn, I still love that 6th shot the best of Tersa's dress back. man. The composition and lighting along with the texture of the dress. Thats awesome. I believe there was a shot from the other angle that looks the same but with your leading man in the background. I think thats the one I'm talking about. Very similar though.

As I recall, most of these shots weren't even wide open either?

I know the bottom two were WFO and I know the upper ones were not, but dont know what they were. We had an awesome script sup, I should have had her recording lens settings.

Shawn,

you've got a faster lenses and now all is working much better...

also probably you "think faster"...

that's make all (shooting) decisions much easier...

I'm sure you feel together with B20 that you have totally new camera...

your next "purchase" step would be a sort of "steadicam" stabilizer...

Thanks Mark, I appreciate that, I was really trying to do something like I hadnt. I feel I've barely begun to shoot what I have in me.

Thanks Sanjin! Having faster lenses is definitely opening up a new world of possibilities :-)
