I am looking forward to putting my RED Rocket™ into my GlobalStor ExtremeStor Scratch rig. Can I do this myself, or do I need to have the techs at GlobalStor handle it?

I guess what I'm asking is, is it Rocket Science?:coolgleamA:

Couldn't resist.

If you have ever put a PCIe card into a computer ... you'll do just fine. Takes approx. 10 seconds.

AS long as it doesn't care which slot, which has been an issue on the Mac side. Trust me, if its that easy I'll be stoked. What I also do not know is how much of the interface with the RED Rocket™ is confined to Scratch specific activities and what portions of its operation need to play nice with the OS and the hardware architecture.

Bottom line - I can't wait to have the Scratch toolset, running a full res decode with the i7 unburdened from debayering. IMHO full res decodes reduce the perceptible noise in the shadows noticeably. I am also hoping that higher frame rates like 29.97 will roll effortlessly even with multichannel audio.
