I found the fix..
check your battery plate..
over time the pins inside the plate smoosh (is that a word?)
together.. this makes the contact point much to slim and thus, bad connection to the battery.
Simply take a small flat head (the kind to fix glasses)
and open up the pins..

this is not an amazing answer. switronix seems to have a much better plate design. I am looking to get one to test out, and I can review it..
but if your in a crunch, and find your camera shutting down at every tap of the battery, this is a quick onset solution. and the camera wont shut off..
I can now operate off my battery again.
