Damn, that show is awesome. How has this show not been on my podcast list for all this time!?!?
Great job, Brook. The hosts seem to really know a lot of details -- the type of stuff that gets discussed here in great detail.

Awesome interview... I'm so curious about the mysterious CF card reader that can do a 16GB card in 2 minutes... with checksum. It was great hearing Brook's thoughts on the job of DIT.... the comparison to being a fireman had me laughing.

Good interview! Some things I couldn't make out. Was that CCCP for color?
Brook Willard

Yep, 3cp is for on-set color correction. You can grade on an accurate monitor, generate any type of LUT you want and be 100% sure that what you see on set will show up in post and, if you so choose, on screen. I'll post more details about everything soon. On my phone.

Holy crap I was talking fast! I must've had my coffee that day.
I'll put some thoughts together and write them up on a post here. I'll get into the final workflow for Southland as well as a bit more information on my hardware... the mystical two-minute card reader.
Thanks guys!

Great interview Brook. Really enjoyed it.
To many people think a DIT is just a copy monkey, like you said, until the crap hits the fan. Or they get a good one and realise what can be done well on-set.
