Auxillary Bits

Hi there.

First of all, let me say I am so excited about the day when my Red arrives.

Unfortunately I was quite late in with the order, so I may not be until December / January. (its my own fault)

But my question is to do with the auxillary items that I have ordered, for instance I have ordered the HiDef LCD monitor, Is there any chance that this could be shipped before the shipping date of the camera, Even with our current set-up without the Red, a HiDef Preview monitor, would be a fantastic addition to our current arsenal, or does everything have to shipped together.

I believe both the Viewfinder and the RED LCD are connected using a proprietary interface and will not work with any other cameras. In which case they would do you very little good unless you intend to rent REDs in the interim and want to save on accessory rental.

Correct, the RED-EVF and RED-LCD are specific to the RED ONE camera - we put all the driver electronics in the body of the camera.
