Hi,

I ve allready asked that question ... anyway may some of you guys could help me further...

Is there a quality difference between converting the rawfootage with redalert to prores 4:4:4 before editing and doing the processing within finalcut and color directly (log n transfer)
i ve red the white paper :) but i'm not shure... the red tab in color confuses me bit cause i can't find all of the quality settings there ...

Assuming you render out of Color to Prores 4:4:4 in the second scenario, there shouldn't be a quality difference as such but you're locking in your grade somewhat before the edit in the first. If you go the L&T>Color route, you still have the full power of the RAW files at your disposal in the grade. Depending on what you want to do with the images post cut, you might find a big quality difference on a shot by shot basis.
