View Full Version : Red Owner Needed To Shoot Quality Short

Hi, my name is Scott Edinson, Producer of a quality 20 minute short to be screened at numerous film festivals. The Director, Director of Photography along with the whole crew and cast are highly acccomplished with many award winning, including the director, DP and actors. It's a 6-day shoot, over 3 weekends in Los Angeles..

Rehearsals have already begun, locations are secured., wardrobe and art dept is in motion.

This is a great chance if you own a Red camera and want 1st hand experience working with some of the best. Please contact me for details.

Don't the best have money to rent cameras these days?

If you name the director, DoP and some of the principle cast and crew and give a synopsis of the script it would give your request some credibility and give you a better chance of getting someone with talent and a camera.

Shorts rarely make any money, or very little. But, sometime a few wonderful people like to contribute to something they like, with people they like. So, we try to do it well, but without over-budgeting. :)

When things are slow, it's great to meet new people and maybe, just maybe, it will be picked up as a feature length, which we're prepared to do.

No- haven't met him. Pugh and I worked together on a short film while I was at USC (last century). BTW it's online now. Pugh's first appearance is at about the 4 minute mark for the folks at home who can't sit through student films. :)

6 days in Oct, on weekends - probably the last three. We're meeting with a DP that has a Red, tonight.

Torrey, I can't possibly express in adequate terms, my gratitude. All the locations are in LA, however your offer stimulates ideas for the feature. Of course, in that case we will be funded and I'll be more than happy to work out a deal with you.

To date, thanks to the generosity of some terrific people on this board, we have filled the need for equipment. We're going into fund-raising-mode next, and again when we complete post.

Sound was filled. Looking for a second Red for this coming weekend. Shooting Sat and Sun night in Burbank, CA.

Yes, if anyone isn't busy this upcoming weekend, we would love a 2nd package to help with coverage.

I'm the DP if it matters. So far, the footage is great, I'm very pleased. We have a crew all experienced and graciously donating their time and gear. The story is great and the set is chill and relaxed.

No days over 12 BTW.
