I need to know how to veiw Quicktime reference files and/or R3D on a PC.
No problems veiwing files on Mac, but only get audio when veiwing R3D in REDCINE and Quicktime files on a PC.
Does using Macdrive to snatch the files from my HD have anything to do with it?
Im lost.
Any help would be awesome.
Thanks

download the trial version (30 days) of Sony Vegas 9b ...
drop r3d clip in TL and it plays (with audio) ...
no problem using MacDrive here ( other then if the ext drive you're using is USB /fw400 - may not be fast enough)

I thought it may be the exit drive connection so I copied the shot folders onto the internal and still had the same problem.
The files pull up in redcine and quicktime but only audio will play on both.
The shots sound great though! Ha...
I will try the Sony program and see if that helps.
Thanks!

There is no QT-component for REDcode on PCs, so QuickTime proxies can't play on any PC. Only programs which decode R3D directly will work, like Vegas or Premiere.
