I'm wondering if the recent debate about usefullness of 1080p is split between those who can only deliver raw media to clients ( CF, hard drives or tape ) and those who intend to process and scale pictures themselves and so deliver final format pics on drives?
A connected question is use of a live full spec HDSDI output may be important to those who are not post oriented and will deliver camera drives to client.
I hope the poll doesnt have many holes in it and we can establish % of those who will post process RED themselves as well as those who have a use for a live full spec HDSDI output.
Poll Definitions
The term "HDSDI"
Relates to using a live output of the camera delivering SMPTE 1080p and 720 60p standard.
1/ To feed recorded pictures direct from RED to a tape deck or into a BNC for "TV" use, incluidng playback at 720/60p of 720/120p acquired pics.
2/ To use RED as a live camera for projection or outside broadcast ect
The term "Camera Drives"
Can include making a straight clone of RED drives or CF on location but with no RED processing or scaling.
