I just got a music video to online and send to Color, and the files are 3K (3072x1728) Native REDCODE wrapped QuickTime files.

How is this even possible? I thought the only way to get Native REDCODE wrapped QuickTime files was thru Log & Transfer in Final Cut and that it was limited to 2K files. Is this a Final Cut 7 thing?

I have only played around with R3D in Final Cut a little, but I think the way it works is that you can import 3K and 4K files through log and transfer, but Final Cut will only work with them at 2K. Once you get into colour though, you can use the full resolution.
