The new bill signed into law on July 20, 2007, lifts the $7 million cap on incentives and lowers the minimum qualifying investment from $250,000 to $50,000, and increases the level of payroll reimbursements from 20 percent to 25 percent.
Another key feature of these tax credits is that they are transferable (i.e. can be sold) to other taxable corporations, individuals, and estates/trusts with tax liabilities to the state.
Now I just need my RED/VFS package and permission from Doug Trumbull to use his warehouse-sized cyclo/greenscreen studio. I'm sure it won't be a problem to get permission from Doug since the building has been vacant for the last 3-4 years. Also, he married the mother of a good friend of mine, and he knows most of the people that will be working there.
