I came across some interesting tests between the two companies lenses while I was doing some research to determine which way to go.

I thought I'd share with those contemplating the same decision. The first link below is a test between the Canon 14mm vs the Nikon 14mm.

The next test is between Canon 16-35mm vs Nikon 17-35mm.

This last one is between Zeiss ZF 85mm vs Canon 85mm.

One more interesting test. Nikon 28mm vs Nikon 28mm.

If anyone has found other lens tests from impartial testers comparing Canon vs Nikon please share.

As conclusion, buy the Sigma (12-24mm) -- it seems you should change the thread's title! :)

And if the rumors are true, the RED glass will be a real winner indeed!

I'm not sure 16-9.net can be trusted for native Nikon mount cameras.
The adapters they use for shooting on full frame Canon bodies have been very inconsistent in result. I like these guys at http://www.slrgear.com
Here are thier C Vs. N 14mm reviews, they seem to be about the same in performance.

I don't trust the comparisons because of the adapter issue, it is not apples to apples. Perhaps as a ballpark comparison but not conclusive.

Thank-You gentlemen. I guess the best thing to do is wait for L.A.R.T. That may be the deciding factor.

And Evin, that site is a great resource, thanks.

The Sigma 14mm is supposedly better than both.

Have the Sigma 14mm on F mount. Exceptional pictures. Can't compare them to genuine Canons or Nikkors but the optical engineering is supreme.
