View Full Version : Red Cheese Plate - Am I doing it wrong?

OK, it may be a dumb question:
I have assembled the Red Cheese Plate to the bottom plate with coutersunk 3/8" bolts supplied with Red One. The cheese plate has about 0.5mm play after tightening the bolts. They seem to be too long or the cuntersunk holes too large.
Suggestions anyone?

You've definitely assembled it correctly. Ours is rock solid.
Have you tried wiggling it slightly before you tighten down completely, to make sure the holes are centred? If they aren't exactly in the center you may get that play in it.

P.S. Were you a Clearance Diver at some point in your life? Saw your rebreather photos in another thread so I'm wondering.... I'm ex-Navy myself!

Hey Pawel, from memory, there are a few different bolts that will fit, maybe you are trying bolts that are too long?
Feel free to come over and have a look here. Mine is rock solid.
I need to get that drive back from you anyway so I can keep transcoding your files.
Cheers,
Jim

Roger that. I think you on to something, Jim. I'll come and have a look.

hahaha, no. Those are my holidays pictures!
Seriously though, I design, test and sell some of this stuff. And, most of all, use it for my film making.
