Ok. This is a question thinking about practical situations.

For me (when worked as AC, 2nd. AC,...), the Top Handle on R1 is a handy and wise option, it gives you the sensation of "holding tight" the whole camera.

What would be the equivalent on the Epic?

I imagine the Red folks are in the process of coming up with a clever solution to putting a top handle on a camera body that morphs lengths.

And if they aren't doing it themselves, then they're letting ET have at it.

There will be more options than you know what to do with... including top handle and rails.

3 questions...

A. Will there be a way to attach the current handle+extension setup to EPIC X?

B. Will the current RED BRIDGE PLATE / ARRI BASE be compatible?

3. Will the new rails be 19mm?

What about the side handles on the original Red One? Are they compatable with the scarlet/epic, or perhaps will there be an new equivalent? Can't help but think they probably saved many a RED from a nasty bump against a wall or door

It would be cool to see some renders incorporating some of the current gear with the new cameras. :yesnod:
