I've been looking for very wide still primes which could be used with a Red, but there don't seem to be a lot out there.

Is there one you would recommend, something around 10mm, but no fisheye ?

I've been using the Zeiss 10mm Ultra Prime lately, which I loved.
Would Canon, Nikon or Sigma by any chance have something similar to this one ?

Nils.

Why not just use the Zeiss?

Is it a still camera lens or a cine lens?

Either way you should be able to use it, right?

Your only real choice is one of the zooms, the 10-22 Canon or 10-20 Sigma.
Both seem to be quite good performers at 10mm, especially considering the slightly tighter crop of the myterium at 4K (1.7x). The widest rectiliniear prime in the still market is 14mm, Canon, Nikon, Tokina and Sigma all make one but the consesnus of the online reviews I've read seems to say the Sigma is the best.

It's a cine lens (PL mount), so yes I'd be able to use the Zeiss.

I was just curious if there was another alternative in the photo world...
Renting the Zeiss must be something like $150 / day, so if you can buy a good still lens for less than $1000, I think it could make sense, even if you lose a couple of stops...

Thanks Evin, I'll have a look at the Sigma. Too bad nobody made a 10mm prime for now. I'll have a look at the 14mm too.
