I was surprised not to see any comments about this LCD option

Ikan 8.0" V8000HD High Definition Widescreen LCD Monitor

(search at amazon for more info)

claims "capable of displaying images in 1080i, 720p, and 480p. It includes BNC component, S-Video, and BNC composite inputs."

it's 1,000 less than the RED LCD... is there a reason to spring for the RED LCD? Thanks. I looked on red.com for specs on the LCD but didn't find any for comparison. I suspect someone here has done the research?

Thanks.

a few problems with the Ikan.. biggest i imagine would be that it wont work on the camera. (no HD-SDI)

Just curious, where are you buying the HD10C for $1k ?

I want to get one of those for my JVC HD100a. A lot less expensive than a Marshall.
