what have you guys heard about it. i had the 30-80 and liked it. will i also be impressed with the wide one?

Your question is a little premature. They were just re-released recently since the original batch was sent back to the factory for fine tuning.
I'm using one in a couple of weeks. In my opinion it's more valuable than the 30-80.

why where they sent back for retuning? what issues did they have?

I got mine about 2 weeks ago. I played with it for only one day and liked it. It has been out on a show, when it comes back later this week I will post some images and thoughts. I really like the 30-80 I got from Lenny.

oh, i read those tests, yes. what i am wondering is what was the issue it had that it was sent back for retooling. and i wonder if the issue was resolved.
