I apologize if this question has been covered. I havent had any luck finding information on this. I am attempting to rent a red one camera for a seven day shoot. The rental company requires equipment rental insurance. I dont have a big budget. Can any of you give me a figure in the ball park i will expect to pay to rent the camera?

thanks

I was recently looking into insurance for short production as well, I couldn't find anything for just equipment for a small shoot so we ended up getting a years worth of insurance to cover rented equipment from DeWitt Stern in Burbank. It was like $500 for the year and covered $40k of rented equipment. Lookup DeWitt Stern, they were the best prices from what I found. Also check out productioninsurance.com, they have a lot of differnt types of insurance for productions and equipment.

There are a few companies that offer production insurance in the US. Also try Taylor & Taylor.
