R3D Data Manager for Windows version 1.0 is released!
You read correctly- R3D Data Manager has finally come to Windows. Many people wondered when this would be released. I'm proud to say it finally is shipping to all those who have been waiting.
This version is equivalent to the Mac version 2.4, plus a lot of the things we have learned along the way. The biggest feature is that it reads only once from the source while writing to as many as 100 destinations at the same time. In addition, the first read is a copy read to ensure that at least a copy is made. The second read generates the source checksums. And the checksums are never written to the source.
All those who ordered before today have been graced with the pre-order price of $69. If you are lucky to be one of them, then you should have received an email from us confirming that you still wish to complete the order. Once we hear from you, we will charge the credit card and send the registration code. In addition, you will receive free upgrades for life.
Those who have requested trial orders for windows have all received the email for the trial order link.
From this point forward the software will be $79 for either the Mac of Windows version, and $145 for the combo. And major point upgrades of either the Mac or Windows version will be $16.99.
Now we will work on 2 fronts - bringing the Windows version up to the feature set of the current Mac version. In addition, we will port the new copy mechanism over to the Mac. The goal is for both programs to have equal feature sets in the future.
