Artifacts on 7" monitor and EVF but not master files??? [Archive]

Strange issue here...
Digital artifacts can sometimes be seen on my 7" monitor during playback mode and EVF but not master digital (RD3) files???

Basically pixel chucks appear at random only in playback on camera. Gear has really low hours on it.
Anyone else experience this??

I haven't seen that. Could it be the lack of debayering in camera? Or could it be a performance issue with the media or camera itself?

Hey Ron, I would say its a Cable issue but it sounds like you can see them both on the monitor and the EVF at the same time, so that is indeed strange. I would do a master reset in the menus after a fresh firmware install and see if that works. If it doesn't, send us a support ticket through Red.com

For me, an exported TIFF still from Red Alert looks far cleaner than the preview in Red Alert. Similar deal?

I had that for a period too. wierd "noise/ artifacts" when I played back through lcd. But I dont have it anymore. must be some software thing. I had it months ago - totally forgot about it...

I've seen lots of banding and "lo-res" EVF images in cold/humid weather. The SDI and the files have been ok, though. As have the EVF been...

Have tried to change cables, with no success...
