anyone know what data rate the Lexar 16Gb SSD can do?

http://www.lexar.com/ssd/expresscard.html

I'm not sure at the $300 price tag its to good to be true RED.

ExpressCard it's self is a eSATA connection to the PCIe bus. It's fast. SSD however is not.

Rory, the last Express related post from Jim was that the option was on the verge of being dropped altogether:

Of course, subject to change...

ExpressCard is easily fast enough:

Properly implemented there is 2.5 Gb/s there. Full PCIe bus speed minus a 0.5 Gb/s. I'm not sure why this is not known.

It's fast enough in theory, but nobody has decided to manufacture the hi-speed cards yet.
