We are shooting a feature in RED at 23.98
Some night footage in a car shot on a 5D 30FPS

What do some of you use to convert the 30fps into 23.98?

Any experiences would be appreciated.
thanks

I have been using twixtor to convert 5DII footage to 23.98, and it works very well.

I tried different ways but at the moment Im using the timeworp effect in After effects.
Interpret your footage to your output framerate, then pull it into a new Comp.
Add timeworp effect and set the speed using the following calculation:
Input frame rate devided by output frame rate times 100. That's the amount you have to set the speed to. Than play around with the settings (make sure you use pixel motion)
and use Ram preview till you get what you like.
Just google after effects time warp effect to get an explanation of the specific settings.
I'm getting very good results. Sharp and smooth without strange frame blendings.
Only difficulty is to avoid smoothing the cuts.
