Does this argument for "exposing right" or overexposing when shooting RAW apply to RED?

Since red has a natively linear response curve, yes, it does. However, we've been told to expect the best when it comes to low noise.

It's simple - if you over-expose you loose data you can never get back. If you under-expose you increase noise levels.
So, you expose to the right such that you avoid clipping any data you deem important, but if shadow details are more important that those highlights you may want to over-expose further. It's all about knowing what priority YOU place on different levels in the scene.
