When in the past Red Co. made some inappropriate camera accessories, camera functions I wrote my opinion on the forum (of course this was my opinion and I could have been wrong).
The Red Prime Pro lenses, which has more than one fault with the markings on their housing, are great optical lenses when working with the Red camera.
Haven't yet worked with them on other cameras (e.g. 35mm formats).

Hi David,
I worked with my RPPs with 35mm and they are fantastic. Crisp and contrasty. Perfect match for RED and 35mm.

I love my RPPs but having showed them to a couple of pro focus pullers they have all noted three things:
1) The markings are "wierd" as in oddly spaced out on the barrel
2) Did the focus marks have to be that "wide"
3) Why doesn't the focus mark on the outer barrel go all the way in to the inner barrel.
I guess you can get used to the two first, but I totally agree on the third one. Looking at the lens from the side - if the camera is higher or lower than your eyes - the marks look "off" though they might not be. Doesn't seem well thought through, but I'm guessing it's an engineering thing...

Same thing here, the RPP 25mm goes from 6' to 15'. Everybody now that "its all happen" between those two distance and you have no reference. The casing don't allow to put you're own marks since they can go inside the lense casing.
Can Duclos or anyone can do something about that ? I'm ready to spend a lot for that...

We've just started shooting the RPPS aswell. Super crisp. Was all about the Zeiss ZF Nikons before, because of the price point, but these lenses really are fantastic.
Just need some wider lenses so we can stop hiring in to fill the gap.

Despite the mild disappointment with the markings, I am VERY happy with my RPP's - and I'll be even happier when the 18mm comes out. Any possibility of a 135mm? ;-)

Yes. Very nice image and very disappointing markings.
I think on the 25mm the full stops (2.8, 4, ... etc) have the same marks as the 1/3 between each of them. How come they managed to do that while with the other focal length the markings of the aperture are more distinguished.
For the gaps of the distances (at least in my Imperial feet marks) I am going to add a sticker mark for 10' 8' etc according to what is needed on the focus ring.
...and yes I am looking for te 18mm and if the 135mm will be the same quality and at the same price range, it will worth buying.
After all we are at the good enough era.

I hope that those of you who would spend on Duclos marking modifications are sending him your requests via e-mail. If he gets enough he might come up with something sooner than later.

Engraving new marks will be very expensive and will void the warranty.

I wonder if Duclos could work with Red and come up with a good and simple solution like a replacement to the disc with the marks. What would be the options?
