Could anyone guide me on what happens next? I just put in an order for 3 cameras over the weekend. At some point do you recive an email that has your camera numbers in line or is there somewhere you log into to see that information?

You should receive a confirmation email. It is super busy at RED so just keep a look out on your email.

Zakaree, do you realise that your post on cinematography.com is the first official Red comment that the first 50 cameras are still on schedule to ship August 31? It would of been nice to have the same courtesy extended to the RedUser board.

If it has been confirmed here, apologies.

Congratulations on your role with Red and it's good to see the Red team bringing on more customer and technical support.

Just a reminder of the shipping schedule, which is, as far as we've been told, due to start the 30th (not the 31st):

Production camera schedule:
Serial numbers 1-50 August 30th (50 units)
Serial numbers 51-100 September 15th (50 units)
Serial numbers 101-300 October 10th (200 units)
Serial numbers 301- 700 November 10th (400 units)
Serial numbers 701- 1200 December 10th (500 units)
Serial numbers 1201- 1700 January 10th (500 units)
Serial numbers 1701- 2200 February 10th (500 units)
Serial numbers 2201- 2700 March 10th (500 units)
Serial numbers 2701- 3400 April 10th (700 units)
Serial numbers 3401- 4100 May 10th (700 units)

I imagine that Jim & Co. have got to be awfully busy getting things ready... besides the camera, there are so many logistics to handle: accessories (we still don't have a final list of what is going to be available, what separate parts cost, etc.), the user manual, packaging, order process (shipments vs. picking up in-person), etc. It's going to be a big week!

I was also wondering something along the lines of orders. We were told maybe a month or so ago that as things got closer individuals would be contacted about what other accessories they want, lenses, etc. I was just wondering if that might still happen in the future.

I was waiting until closer to shipment of the first units, but I definitely want to make sure I complete my order in the next month or two anyway. I only ordered one battery kit, for instance, I want to add a second, didn't get the prime lens set, want to add that of course, and the 50-150mm zoom when that's available, etc. So there is some other stuff I know I'll be adding. I'm assuming there's not a huge hurry given that my order won't be fulfilled until January / February anyway.
