View Full Version : RED Cameras in our High Schools and Elementary Schools.

Much to the awareness of our RED Camera Communities. Are any other elementary schools or highschools providing RED education or shooting with Red Cameras?

We do at our Tribal School. And those shooting with the Red have already been on a number of truely professional shoots. (You'll see a Commercial (THQ Video Game Commercial) in December and an MTV Music Video (Paramore) next month as well). And perhaps a full featured native film at Sundance Film Festival (sorry they would not let it be summited unless they got to premiere it first - seriously tell me why?). :mad2:

If there are any other Native Kids out there or Tribes Shooting with the RED , we would love to hear from you (we have some pretty serious cool toys).

I understand a high school having a red but isn't elementary school a little young?

Congrats though on the 3 projects you guys have done! That's awesome you're getting these kids into this stuff that young!

Been doing a bit of research lately, and even film schools in LA have generally not caught up with the Red yet.

my college had a red to teach students on, but last i heard, somebody lost it :(

Someone lost it? "No biggie I just lost $60,000 worth of gear. I wonder where my Red could have gone?" Just goes so show you how little people value stuff that does not belong to them.

Having the RED available in a high school is incredible, it gives those students so many opporitunities!

However, I think elementary school students are perhaps too young to use it. But, hey, the younger the better!

I go to Chapman University and I know of maybe one RED we have available but I'm sure it's only for graduate thesis work.
