I just got a new redrocket card. I need some good tips on how to conect it to my setup properly. I have a 24inch Apple cinema display and a a dreamcolor monitor for grading. I need to know how to connect both monitors to the Redrocket to obtain the best quality. I intend to use the dreamcolor for grading , so will the redrocket help me out here or do I neeed something like a MX02..

You can connect it via the DVi ports, activating them on the rocket symbol and choose 1920x1200.....
Or you go via HD-SDI and a AJA Hi5 3G converter to HDMI and feed the Dreamcolor with that....

For the Dreamcolor you should be able to go direct from the RED Rocket via a DVI to HDMI cable and output 10bit color. I believe the Dreamcolor accepts 10bit over HDMI and not just over displayport?

wanted to test it with my Eizo CG243 as well, but when you activate the DVI ports in rocketcine you get only 8bits to choose...
10 bits seem to be available only via HD-SDI at the moment....

Still? Grrr... I haven't tried to drive my plasma with the Rocket since before they released the updates on the 30th.

How are you guys connecting the SDI card that came with the RED Rocket™. I am running out of slot spaces in the back. So please can someone tell me the best way to connect the SDI to my MAc Pro tower.
I currently have ATI on slot 1, Slot 2 is for my RED Rocket™, slot 3 will be for my MX02 (which i am planning to get) and 4th slot has my Caldigit raid 5 card.
Also, I ordered the rocket breakout box, so is it gonna save me the hassle of using MX02 or connecting the SDI card. ?

Saw out a nice littel cutout on the side of the Mac for the breakout connectors...

I route it to the second optical drive opening in the front. I'm also routing one of the sata port out from there, too.

I have installed the red rocket on my mac pro, but for some reason, all he cables I have been connecting to the dvi and sdi ports are not showing anything on my screen. My screen keep saying No Input signal. And when it detects the connection, my screen will either be blank or green.
Can some someone point me on how to correct this issue. Do I need to activate the rocket after installation, if so where do I go and activate it. Also, I don't know if I am connecting it right. So here is what I did:
I conncted the dvi splitter that came with the rocket to the rocket card and then conncted the hdmi to dvi cable to one end of the dvi adapter cable. It didn't work. The I tried my Aja 3g by connecting it to the sdi port that came with the rocket and then connected the end through hdmi , I got just green on the screen. Last I connect dvi from monitor to spliter dvi adapter that came with rocket and then splitter end to the rocket card.. I got no picture.
Please, if someone got a red rocket and can help me out here, I will appreciate it.
Thanks

in rocketcine click on the rocket symbol on the lower right side of the viewing window...
there select 1920x1200 for activating the dvi ports....

Can someone post an image of their Redrocket SDI outputs?
