That's all I want to know. Price of the Scarlet Brains, 2/3" Fixed Kit, and the Mini-RED Primes.

Also the price of any more accessories would be nice.

didnt Jim already say that EpicX is first out before Scarlet? And since we know Epic Tattoo wont come until next year, then EpicX not shipping until after Tattoo gives go ahead (what's that, 3-9 months?). I think a safer hope is Scarlet shipping end of Q4 2010.

i am staying in blind faith mode.. maybe scarlet is closer ; than all those folks who are'nt actually working on it are saying.. i mean none of these whining naysayers have engineered any cinema quality cameras that im aware of... i have my fingers crossed. that these folks are going to make allot of amature filmakers, very happy and their efforts much more fruitful .

I'm curious as to how reservations are going to be handled. For us red owners upgrading to Epic, do we still have any priority if we also want a fixed Scarlet camera? Every Red Owner -also future Epic upgraders- that I know all want the scarlet as well since it can serve as an excellent b-cam/crash cam..etc.

We may find out more today, but the "execution" of your serial number has been described as a one time event. Check the first few posts from the Madman in the Oct. 30th announcement thread for details.

The more interesting question to me is how they will handle the order of shipping Scarlets after all the people who choose to use their serial numbers for Scarlets have been served...

This is pure supposition, but since they will have to use some method to determine order, original serial numbers would seem logical.
