I currently have a 20-120 (f2.5 as far as I remember) Lomo w/ PL-mount sitting at a well reputed lens tech company. I got a quote for a complete overhaul of the lens so I'm looking into what the lens would be worth after having done a complete overhaul including putting .8 gears on it. I'm probably not going to sell the lens but I'd like it to at least hold it's value if I put the kind of money into it it needs.

What would you pay for this lens considering it's completely overhauled?

Thanks!

I had one that I sold for $2k or $2.5k, I don't remember offhand. It was in pretty good shape. Overhauled, I couldn't see it going for more than $4k. Nice lens, though, especially with the anamorphic back.

Thanks Shane and Kwan. Anyone else? Question is whether or not I want to put about $2500 into giving this lens the sweet treatment.

Mine had virtually no breathing although it did have a bit of a yellow cast, it's a really nice lens if you shoot on a zoom and have a 6x6 mattebox. $2500 is pretty good if it gets you a new lens. The question is whether you'll use it much, it is a bit of a monster.

If you want to fitted on your zoom lens gear rings - I have in stock set of 3 black anodized made from aluminum ARRI standard 32 pitch - $ 350 for set - fitted on Focus , iris and zoom .But I am not understand why do you need 8 gear rings ?
You can fixed this gear rings independently without disassembly any parts of zoom .
If you need rear anamorphic adapter for it zoom then I can sell it for you for $ 2200

http://www.red235.com/ - it is website Ken Reach he has many anamorphic lenses but more expensive and some lenses bought from me ..

Best regards

Sergey
