There were other threads, but none that were very helpful. Now that Red is nearly here, I need to pull the trigger on getting myself annual equipment insurance for up to $50k for any use in the US.

Would anyone who has similar insurance tell me how much they pay and who it is from? I would very much appreciate it.

I'm not an expert but a quick google search on "videographer equipment insurance" yielded a site with: $250 deductible and $1 for every $100 of insured equipment.

I wouldn't trust the site though, but it's a decent ballpark:

Please, can someone who presently has this tell me what it costs you?

Googled - Media+Industry+Insurance and got this:

I've just applied for Membership to BECTU in the UK. As a freelancer I'm covered by the union fees for up to $3m third party liability. They also have equipment cover but I'm looking into that. Maybe they have a similarly recognized entertainment industry insurance leader over there.

The BECTU fees are roughly $760 a year.

Cheers,
Mark.
