Avatar - What is the Camera

Hey all -

So, read through the great articles in the New Yorker and Wired about Avatar... and they keep talking about this "holy grail" of cameras that Jim (Cameron) developed...

But they never say what it is.

Anyone know? What is it? Specs? What does it shoot on? What's it's differentiating features from the RED and others?

James Cameron used the PaceHD Fusion 3-D system found at http://www.pacehd.com/ for Avatar. From my understanding it is a dual Sony F950 system.
