hi guys i need your consultancy in this issue i'm thinking of not getting a video assist because i have a pc all it needs is a capture card thats suitable for the red cam and capture the footage instead of playing back from the camera and be more affordable what i all ready have is the decklink Intensity pro capture card which only have HDMI and my problem or what i was told that the red cam doesn't send a standard hdmi signal therefore when i connect the camera via HDMI to the decklink intensity pro card i get no signal :(
so my only solution is capturing from the camera with SDI capture card so what should i get...
Decklink SDI
or
Nvidia Quadro or what?
remember i need this to affordable as possible
or if there's any other solution thats different to what i'm thinking please let me know

Can you elaborate on why you're trying to use a capture card? Are you trying to just record the red's output image instead of shooting to CF card's or drives?
The decklink I think would be the most affordable option out there.
Just know that you will be limited to capturing only 720P footage which is baked in.
Let me know what you're trying to do.

well casey what i'm trying to do is, that to record the footage and play it back on a pc instead of playing it back to from the camera its sort of a taking the load off from the camera to avoid any mess ups and being extra safe i want to avoid playing back from the camera itself.... but not instead of shooting to a CF a card and Drives its for viewing reasons only, doesn't have anything to do with the original data.
mark how much does AJA Ki Pro cost? cuz its awesome if its affordable it will be the best solution for me :)
