Hello!
My name is Mark Collins, I'm a film student at Sheridan College in Oakville, ON. I'm looking to get some more on set experience with industry films and not simply student productions. I do have experience working with TVCogeco in Sarnia, ON and know my way around television, studio and mobile productions.
Cameras I have worked with:
RED One
F900 (briefly, but enough to know the basics of it)
Panasonic HVX
Sony EX1 and EX3
Canon 7D
S270
Z7U
I have visited Panavision's rental house in Toronto and have talked to them about their cameras. They did give me limited training on the XL and Genesis, in which most of the training centered on setting the camera up and the basics of operation.
I also do Grip/Gaffer work most times on set, and i did take a lighting class taught by Frank Merino during the past semester in school, as well as a camera class taught by Michael Cherrington and Zoe Dirse.
So, if you need any non union help on set in the camera and lighting areas, I would be more than willing to help. I would prefer paid, but am willing to work for experience as well.
Thanks guys! I'm working on a demo reel and will have it finished in about a month or two.
All of this also applies to the Lambton County, Sarnia area of Ontario, as I go to that area frequently.
