I'm not sure if this has been answered or ignored or even asked before but, is Red planning on releasing their cameras in bulk shipments or as they become available?
I ask because I am #363 so I fall into the November 10 release schedule of 400 cameras. But since Red is releasing 25 cameras this Friday and 25 next Friday, I thought, huh, I wonder if I would get mine earlier or later..

This is a total guess but I think that over the next month they will start to figure out the most efficient way to release the cameras and adjust their protocol as needed. I think it is likely that they will post a more specific policy for shipping times next month. Again, just a guess - but they have hired some new people recently, and since Jim's hires are usually very sharp, I see them getting this well tracked pretty quickly.
There is also some speculation that they may delay a little bit after the first 50 take their cameras out into the wild. No matter how great a job RED does troubleshooting the cameras, you cannot escape the core truths of chaos theory, issues will crop up. Jim has also talked about having a lot more features enabled this fall so it might be more efficient for them to get those working before shipping.
This is just speculation based on logic, I have NO inside info or knowledge.

Heh heh. Trickle or big dump. With my kids I just ask, "number one, or number two?"

p.s. I envy you......... Can I come to San Diego for the next couple of months and be your roommate/camera watcher/defender ?

I just hope they are really on the Q&A.
I hope those first 25 cameras are burning in
right now. What a sight that must be?
