Hi

Ive searched the forums and im sure the answer is probably somewhere im looking to purchase a digital camera to shoot production stills for a feature.

It must be:-

1) easy to use by non expert photographers

2) provide very good quality pictures

3) price £100-£400 United Kingdom pounds

Thanks Owen

A low-end DSLR? One of those crossover cams with a large sensor? If you really want to go compact, I recommend the Fuji FinePix f31 (or successor) for its excellent low-light performance (much better than Canon, IMHO). But beware lack of wide angle.

Nikon D40x and 18-55mm lens can be had for less than £400. That'd be my vote.

About 9 month ago I got a new D70s for next to nothing.......

They must be even nearer to nothing by now.
