Hi, im newbie here and also in video production. I have one simple question about shooting in HD and FULL HD. Let's say i have have short scene shot in FULL HD and the same scene shot in HD. FULL HD was scaled down to HD. Which image will look better, original HD or FULL HD scaled to simple HD.
Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by HD vs FULL HD -- perhaps 720 vs 1080? In any case, the answer will depend on what you use to scale the image. So here's a related question for the forum: What do you find to be the best software for downscaling video?

I forgot to answer my own question...
I'm with Eirik here. After Effects is my best choice too.
FCP is awful. Avid is awful.

so if i want better 720p, i must shoot in 1080p and rescale it with AE, right? Anyone can explain in depth why is that so?

Why not Compressor with Episode? Does Episode do that?

User compressor but using the frame controls, it has very good spacial and temporal conversion. If your using 720 though what frame rate are you targeting ?
