Well it's scheduled! My first Red short is being shot on Sunday September 23. I wrote the story about 6 months ago and it's been cast for that long. This last week I had a DP, who is currently shooting a feature on a Varicam with Zeiss PL lenses, accept to DP. Storyboards are being drawn up and just today I got a recommendation for the last position needed, 1st AD.
I wish there was a "User Films" section!

I promise never to randomly post my work again... particularly when it has nothing to do with the thread at hand.

Exciting news Shawn. Once you start shooting, keep us abreast with dailies and such, and tell us of the logistics and actual happenings on the set, as well as your observations of how the camera performs in particular situations. Looking forward to seeing the progress of your project.

Shawn, just curious, is this for an organization or are you going the festival and/or self-distribution route? Would like to hear your experience in the marketing of your work.
Break a lens... er, leg.

Great news, Shawn! Do post stills as soon as possible. Will you be using Zeiss PL lenses for the short as well? Or are you going the SLR lens route?

This is just for me, my current plan is the festival route. The run time will be less than five minutes and presents a very clear idea with clear characters (only two main ones and one small one). So I feel it has excellent festival potential.

Yes, I'll be using the Red Zoom along with an 80mm f2.8 Zeiss PL prime and a 110mm f2 Zeiss PL prime. There will be no SLR lenses.

Number 6, you can try withoutabox.com. It is a very decent resource for indie filmmakers. It really streamlines the festival route and helps you get seen.
