Hi,

Why on earth would you want to use a 35mm adapter with a Red?

Because, when I invest in a set of either new nikon or new canon lenses, I want to be able to use them with my smaller 1/3" HD cam + 35mm adapter.

If the briger can be used with SGPRO or REDROCK M2, then I am going to go with Canon Lenses if not, I will get Nikon lenses (with manual aperature control) so i can use it both on my RED and my smaller 1/3" HD B cam.

I think once you start using the RED - the other cameras will only
collect dust. Many of my clients have asked what is RED? Why RED?
Well, I was shooting a greenscreen shoot the other day. 2 people
the company picked to (act). They where OK but I ended up
doing singles of each person and then compositing these takes
together. The client wanted to "zoom in" to the actor on one take.
I showed them what happens......
So I said that is why a RED would be perfect. You could "zoom in"
on a person and still have the quality and room to play.

All this hype around Red is a little bit childish. The Red One won't replace the 1/3" cameras range. There's no way. Convenience, price, etc.

And I'm just a 2/3" ENG shooter.
