When is the Red Camera going to ship? You say sometime early 2007, but I am planning my entire budget and shooting schedule for my ground breaking feature length film around the availability of your Camera!!!
What am I going to do if Red doesn't ship my Camera out on time?
... just kidding! I just wanted to make a point, that no matter how long it takes, we appreciate what Red is trying to do. And noone should make plans around the ship date. When it arrives, it arrives.
thanks for your valiant efforts... we look forward to the NAB 07 announcements.
keep on rockin.

I would bet that they're trying very hard to launch close to NAB. That's lot of sleepless nights.

"Everyone gets a 3 month salary bonus if we ship the first camera by NAB".
That's what Jim needs to say to his employees! :-) (okay okay, I'm just really wanting my Red. I'm already in pre-production on my first two Red shorts...)

Half of Red #27
Half of Zoom #212
It's going to suck though that you're going to have to break the camera up between two people. There will be glass everywhere. :)
I'm so lame.

The goal is to ship the first camera by NAB. Things are always subject to change. Once production begins, we do not know how quickly they will be able to produce cameras. Frankly, I doubt we'll know the production rate until people start chiming in on the forums that their order has shipped.
There are multiple threads on this subject already - they seem to come in waves. I'll keep this open for the time being, but please take a look at the threads that are already open and active before posting a new one with the same question. :)

Well posted, Brook.
BTW, Jim added: 3/4 months until to accomplish the delivery of the first 1080 RED reservations. Now with these new ones, I'm not sure how many. But there won't be so much.
