Redcine-X vs RedAlert

OK, so I'm used to using RedAlert to generate presets for FCP log and transfer. Works fine, until it doesn't. I'd like to use Redcine-X, but honestly, am a bit baffled by it. The wandering around the program is swell and I do enjoy the new features, but frankly would appreciate a manual of some sort or at least a short pdf of ABC's how to get the best out of the program.

What kind of workflow are folks using successfully with Redcine-X?

Redcine-X is still advanced Alpha or early Beta stage... many features are not enabled yet... good things come to those who wait :)

Thanks Tim. Not sure if that explains the befuddlement on my part or not, but maybe does a little. I keep working the way I know best, and am always open to learning something new. Redcine-X is just staring at me, there on my desktop, so naturally, I keep opening it wanting to use it. Guess I'll have to rein myself in for the time being.
