Most wider lenses (>50mm) in s35 kits will not cover FF35 apertures.
How are you going to use your s35 lens kits on FF35 cameras?
Would you pay double for FF35 versions of your existing wider lenses (25mm, 35mm)?
Will there be a market for rehoused still lenses?

Also a lot of companies who have made 50mm (focal length) lenses with a 40mm optical circle are in a spot of bother.
It may mean complete s35 lens sets should come down in price as the wider lens won’t be viable for FF35.

Red has announced FF35 Electronic zooms which I presume will have a zero breathe compensation.
Hopefully the new Epic will compensate for breathing on Canon/Nikon zooms as I don’t see a lot of FF35 cine zooms around.

I’m sure when Red’s FF35 is out and a lot of cinema industry people are using them, there’s going to be quite a bit of talk about the FF35 focus ‘look’.
Where it works and where it’s overdone…think 5D low light wide shots everywhere. And Red won’t help with their new generation sensor, 3 stops faster and greater dynamic range.

Hopefully Red’s touch focus screen will be very usable. Maybe something similar to false colour assist, except banded regions depict 6k, 4k, HD, SD, Filthy, levels of focus etc.
