Why on earth does changing the timebase (from 24 to 25 fps for example) require the media to be re-formatted????
Surely the drive is simply formatted as FAT32.
And the R3D files are individual files.
This is getting to be a major annoyance.
If I am filming for one project which needs 24fps and happen to see something which would be useful for another project (at 25fps), then I have 2 options:
1. re-format the drive and lose the footage whichI have just taken.
2. record the new footage at the wrong frame rate
