Here we have d-day upon us and Tom is mia... Did he get job at RED? Did he mount an assault on Netflix for the whole "sugar in his tank movie selections thing" (don't worry I got nailed by Netflix so to speak myself...AND not that there is anything wrong with that)? Did he run off to intern w/ Mr. Mullen? We need more speculation... but in the mean time where in the bloody hell is Tom? (seriously, I hope your OK dude.)

Tom is having an adventure scouting locations of stunning scenic beauty to use in his Terrence Malick inspired Red projects.
Lucky dog.
Stewart, what have you done with Tom?

Yeah, funny, earlier I was thinking the same thing and hadn't seen this thread. I actually PM'd Brooke a few hours ago to see if he had heard anything. Tried to e-mail him, but his profile didn't allow it.
Don't really know him at all, but we've both been on since the beginning and have very similar screen names.
Looked at his profile and he hadn't logged in since 8/15 and of course--thought the worst--I mean, come on. How can anyone go that long with out at least checking in?
But, yeah, hopefully he's okay and scouting like you said.
Yeah.. sheesh. Hope he's okay. No red addict would stay that long without checking in.
Or maybe he's in Red Rehab (forum break).

Dude... There's no such thing as Red Rehab--once you're in--you're an addict for life.
All kidding aside, I'm worried, too. Maybe Jarred will see this and e-mail him. I'd PM him, but he's likely pretty wiped.

Tom did sound really interested in Burning Man. Hope that's the case. It's a shame about that dickhead who lit it up early. As a REDONE reservation holder, it would have taken the Hawaiian Tropic calender girls to pry me from my computer on Friday, let alone the past two weeks! Well ummmmmmm actually... What am I thinking!? Anyway, I hope Tom shows up soon. He went way out of his way to give me some really valuable time lapse pointers. He's a great guy.

if he went to burning man, we may not hear from him in awhile. :-)
he'll be even more mellower if he makes it back.
it doesnt feel right seeing all this footage without him.

I'm alive!
Hehe. Actually I've just been on a location scouting trip to Yosemite and Lake Powell. Had the time of my life, and shot a few timelapses.
I'll try to post a few.
Thanks for all the concern! And in fact I did sort of do battle with a black bear... long story! :)

Welcome back Tom. I wasn't worried - I just assumed you were watching a Terrence Malick director's cut. ;)

Welcome back!
If you need an extra RED in those spots I'm in. Those are gorgeous areas. I'd like to do Havasupai falls with RED. There are a zillion places...

Yeah! I am actually thinking about including a shot of Havasupai Falls in my feature. It would be MOS, just showing the actors swimming there. Of course that would involve asking a couple crew members and two or three actors to backpack in all the equipment.... 10 miles down a dirt trail under the blazing sun ... hehe. I guess if I shoot later in the day all I would need is the camera on sticks or handheld. I can't see dragging a steadicam that far. The beauty of RED is how small it is, though, using solid state media, for example. Mattebox would probably be the biggest piece of equipment.
Same with Yosemite. I found tons of awesome places to shoot there, and RED is just small enough to be able to carry into some of these places.
